Is a tool for voice and video communication, it is a requirement to play in my games.
You do not need to purchase Foundry, it is free for players.
We will be using Foundry VTT - which is similar to Roll20.
Older computers or those with slower internet will lag and be outright unplayable with all the moving parts of Foundry.
Please check if you can run Foundry by visiting - https://demo.foundryvtt.com/join
Click any player and the password is foundry. Move around and change the scenes to see if it is something you can run successfully.
Software I use to create dungeon and world maps.
As this game may prompt physical and emotional responses. A player may request a break at any time. With just an understanding of the time needed and if your absence will impact near future play.
Sometimes conversation will continue beyond the scheduled time of play and we may enjoy each other's company and conversation. For sake of storytelling and personal scheduling, there will be a hard end to the game and social bleeds may happen when scheduled gaming ends.
The X Card can be used at any point if a participant is uncomfortable with the content happening in-game. When the X card is used by typing an X
in the chat, the group can change, rewind, or skip the content.
The N Card can be used at any point if a participant feels like they are headed towards an X. When the N card is used by typing an N
in the chat, the group can change the content or have the scene fade to black.
The O Card can be used at any point after another participant has used a card to continue with the content. O simply stands for Okay. It will be prompted by the DM to check in
if everyone is still good. Everyone would respond O or OK.
The Fast Forward Card, abbreviated >>
can be used at any point if a participant wants to skip the current content. Typing the shorthand in the chat, or stating it out loud (I’d like to fast forward...
), skip forward to a new spot in the story that everyone agrees on.
The Rewind Card, abbreviated <<
can be used when something has happened in play that makes a participant uncomfortable. When typing the shorthand in the chat, or stating it out loud (I’d like to rewind...
), be clear about what content is being adjusted, rewind to a point before it happened, and play starts again.
Limits on content that I will not explore
Romance with NPCs, Sex with NPCs, Player vs Player combat
Are played out as “behind a curtain†or “cut to black.â€
Romance between PCs, Sex between PCs, Murder, Gore, Prejudice, Slavery, Racism
Gender, Attraction, Sexual Orientation, Romance can be explored between players but will not be engaged by the DM.
This is not a game for romance. I don't want to role-play sex.
Fae'run has instances of racism, prejudice, and slavery between the numerous fantasy races of the world.
Orcs & Goblins are feared and hated and kill humanoids on sight.
Cultists rituals and ceremonies you encounter may be disgusting and vile.
Metallic and Chromatic Dragons can all be evil.
Dragons and Giants kill for fun and take slaves.
Please be comfortable with these veiled topics within a role-playing setting.
